Housing societies across Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad are stepping up to help residents complete the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. 🗳️ With the deadline extended to August 17, resident associations and society committees are using their community networks to spread awareness and assist residents with the required steps.

📢 Societies Become Local Support Centres

Many housing societies are using WhatsApp groups, calls, messages and society notices to remind residents about the SIR process. 📱 Committee members are also helping residents connect with the concerned Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and understand the documentation and verification requirements.

This community-level support is particularly useful in large housing complexes, where hundreds of residents may need assistance within a limited period. 👥

👵 Special Focus on Senior Citizens

Senior citizens and residents who may find the process difficult are receiving additional support. ❤️ Society representatives are helping coordinate with BLOs and making arrangements so elderly residents can complete the process without unnecessary difficulty.

🏠 Facilitation Centres Inside Housing Societies

Some societies have gone a step further by coordinating with officials to facilitate the SIR process within their own premises. 📝 Common areas and clubhouses are being used as temporary facilitation centres, making it easier for residents to approach officials and resolve their queries.

This can save residents the effort of travelling elsewhere while allowing officials to interact with a larger number of residents in an organised manner. ✅

🤝 Support Extends to Neighbouring Societies

The initiative is not limited to individual housing societies. Some resident associations are also helping people from neighbouring societies by sharing information, connecting them with BLOs and assisting them in understanding the process.

This reflects how housing societies can play an important role beyond everyday maintenance and administration — they can also help communities participate in important civic processes. 🌐

🗳️ A Community-Driven Approach

The SIR initiative in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad shows how housing societies can become effective communication and facilitation points for residents. By coordinating with officials, supporting senior citizens and keeping residents informed, society committees are helping make the process more accessible at the community level.

With the deadline extended to August 17, residents who have not yet completed the required process can use the additional time to verify their information and seek assistance from their society or concerned BLO. 📅
