Government Housing Assistance to Help Eligible Families Build Permanent Homes
🏠 The Maharashtra Government's Ramai Awas (Gharkul) Scheme aims to provide housing assistance to eligible families belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Nav-Buddha communities. The scheme focuses on helping economically weaker families construct permanent homes and improve their living conditions.
🏡 Financial Assistance for Home Construction
Under the scheme, eligible beneficiaries can receive financial assistance to construct permanent houses on their own land. The assistance varies depending on whether the beneficiary lives in a rural or urban area.
In rural areas, eligible beneficiaries can receive assistance of ₹1.32 lakh, including support for toilet construction. Beneficiaries in hilly and Naxal-affected areas may receive up to ₹1.42 lakh, subject to applicable guidelines.
🏙️ Support for Urban Housing
Eligible beneficiaries residing in municipal councils and municipal corporation areas may receive ₹2.50 lakh in housing assistance. This support is intended to help families build or secure better housing in urban areas.

Applicants must meet the eligibility conditions prescribed under the scheme. These generally include:
- Belonging to the SC or Nav-Buddha community.
