Earlier:

A minimum of 10 members was required.

Now:

Only 5 members are needed to form and register a housing society.

The new rules clarify how common service charges should be collected.

If a member rents out their flat and informs the housing society, the society can collect non-occupancy charges.

Maximum Charge:

10% of the service charges (excluding maintenance charges).
